Although we don’t mind kids as we have plenty of our own. I’ll let you know what’s important below. Secrets is the most expensive but not by much. Best I can describe it.All four of these resorts are about the same price. The exit door was set back some 25-30 feet from the Margaritaville trailer. After that long walk we had to take a right down a hall then exited to the shuttle area along with the normal hollering, gas fumes and a few more time share sellers. But there were still some time share hawkers, but just as easily we got past them We had to take a left out the customs door, walk past the ticket booths and took another left down a long hallway with about 20 open booths with people lined up, but have no idea what the deal was. There are large glass frosted sliding doors at the exit and as we got through the doors all the ticket booths had been rebuilt/remodelled with a much cleaner look. We got past her, got the green light and we were gone. This was particularly interested in how many packs of cigs my wife had, which was 8. Then as you're collecting your scanned luggage there was a customs officer checking passports again and taking the customs declaration. The space was taken over by the customs office and another xray machine was added and another go/no go red/green light. ![]() If you can remember, once you go to luggage claim, there was a set of restrooms in the corner of the area. Kevin even took our luggage from Diego's to the rental car without being asked. Took care of our business with Kevin with Darth, finished our guac and chips, Coke and that fresh lemonade they make there. We were to meet them at Diego's at 1:30 pm and they were there on the dot. Quickly past the howkers, down the sidewalk and over to Diego's where we were meeting Darth care rentals. Long walk down a hallway before you leave the terminal area itself. Green light next and we are out the door to a newly arranged offices for shuttles, and other booths. All our luggage went through with no problems, even my drone. Two scanners going and enough people to staff them. The stanky restrooms in the luggage waiting area and the ones at the immigration area have been totally rebuilt! As well as the customs scanners and inspection point. We were on the island in April and they were working on the airport building, but wow! It's really changed for the better. Got jarred around by some woman with a backpack twice her size passing me up. Printed out customs form and passports in hand we were ready for the mad rush to the immigration line. ![]() Managed to take a small nap on the way.Īrrived ahead of schedule at CZM and were the only arrival. MIddle and aisle seats cause we were over the wing and no view anyway. But 2.5 hours was rather painless for my 6'2" frame. I don't remember the seats being as close as they were today. We hadn't flown United for a couple of years now, mainly because Southwest leaves out of Hobby and saves us from driving 40 miles to the north. TSA Pre-check is a wonderful thing isn't it? Breezed through, no problems even though I had a drone, two laptops and associated wires in my main carry on. So dropped the vehicle at the lot, got the shuttle and began our quest for Terminal E, but starting out at Terminal D because of the construction going on. Checking in that afternoon we found that we could have parked our vehicle there at the hotel for 6 bucks a day, but I had already made reservations at the Eco Park for the week for the same price but it was covered parking. Grabbed a little bite at the free breakfast just to get something first thing. My better half got us coffee at the breakfast bar and we leisurely packed our bags for the flight that left at 10:11 am. Got up at 5:51 am before our 6 am wakeup call. Just as I remembered it from over 20 years ago. ![]() It's the only one around in our neck of the woods and we'll never just drive up from our home to eat there. Spent the night before at the Best Western on Will Clayton using an Expedia rate of a drive out price of 50 bucks.
